Hello-

I would like to bring a few updated details to your attention since our last briefing.  There also is the website you can go to for the most up to date information @  berkleypost374.org

First and foremost, I do have some good news since the last Berkleyaire.  The post has been able to pay off some of the debt that we had.  The lounge furniture, the coolers, and office furniture and all leased equipment is now 100% ours because of some negotiating with our creditors.  The $23,000 unpaid water bill has been paid down to $2100,  the other utilities are totally up to date, and our $5000 DTE deposit is being refunded because of six months prompt paymentso on.  This is great news for the post!!

Thanks to Johnny Pope and Dale Hagland the lounge now has a glass chiller.  Johnny Pope passed away this past summer due to pancreatic cancer.  It was one thing Johnny always wanted for the lounge and with the added help from Dale Hagland, it became a reality.

The post "traded" some equipment that was either obsolete or no longer being used and they were able to get a new grill for the lounge.  Come on up and enjoy lunch or dinner-there are great daily specials-always DELICIOUS!!

There is a flyer attached giving all the details of the festivities for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.  Come enjoy the fun.

The post belongs to you, our members, please come and join us for a beer, burger, pop, music, pool, shuffleboard but the best of all is the camaraderie that the Legion brings.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL
